Customer Reviews for Winnie African hair braiding

Imani James — 5/5 (via Google)

This is my first time going, and definitely won’t be my last! I got medium/small knotless with the hair curled on the bottom. Was in and out in just over 2 hrs. My hair was done quickly, but neatly. I’m obsessed with how my hair looks, it’s definitely beautiful. Price is definitely worth it! I did not get the name of the exact stylist who did my hair but I am confident any one of the kind and beautiful ladies in the shop can give quality work. Thank You so much, I will definitely be back.

I rarely ever do reviews; but I definitely needed to write one! I got my braids done at Winnie Hair Braiding about three and a half weeks ago, and I’m still getting compliments—they look that good. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I felt truly welcomed. The young lady who did my hair took her time with my hair, made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and treated me with such kindness and care. My hair is soft and soft; so I usually do crochet; and she did it exactly how I wanted it to be; She’s not just talented—she’s patient, professional, and clearly passionate about her craft. The braids are still neat, beautiful, and holding up so well even after three weeks. That kind of quality is hard to come by. I left the shop feeling confident, relaxed, and so happy with the results. I’ll absolutely be coming back—and if you’re looking for someone who knows how to braid with skill and heart, Winnie and her staff are amazing! Thank you again for making me feel at home and leaving me looking and feeling amazing!

Best hair braiding in Queens!! I have been going to Winnie's for years and I'm always happy with my results. She always accommodates my schedule and she braids really fast.

Maaannn I love naija women from infinity to infinity!! This was my first time getting my hair braided at Winnie's and it definitely will not be my last! I was able to book a same day appointment with her for crochet and she took less than 4hrs to complete. The best part was her care; I have frontal alopecia and Winnie was super careful with my scalp while braiding (she didn't use extensions and was careful to not pull my hair while braiding) and gave me styling recommendations to hide balding areas. I used 2 hair packs and a half and my total was under $180. However the more hair packs you bring the more it will cost you so make sure to negotiate your price in advance. Text the number of the shop to book your appointment. She also accepts other payment options like CASHAPP & ZELLE. All in all I am very impressed with her work and looking to return for a new style.
